The latest official report, and still provisional, published Tuesday, May 30 at 6 p.m. local time, by the Sri Lankan government now reports 196 dead and 63 wounded still hospitalized. In addition, 93 people are still missing. 622,510 people are directly affected by these bad weather. 111,000 people were able to take shelter in safe places (reception centers or with relatives) also indicated the Center for Disaster Management. The government has published an assessment, also provisional, of the damage: at least 1,458 homes were completely destroyed and 7,188 are partially damaged.
